You write an email, You hit SEND and then you think.... OOPS I really shouldn't have sent that!
Maybe it was a not-very-well thought out response....
Maybe it was a snarky response....
Maybe you put the wrong person's name in the TO field...
Maybe you just sent something quite personal but hit REPLY ALL by accident.
OR... worse!
If you use Gmail, you now have a recovery option.
Gmail now lets you "turn on" 'UNDO SEND" and cancel an email within 5, 10, 20, or 30 seconds.
You need to turn this on as follows:
You need to first log in to your gmail at https://mail.google.com/
- Then, to enable Undo Send:
- Click the gear in the top right .
- Select Settings.
- Scroll down to "Undo Send" and click Enable.
- Set the cancellation period (the amount of time you have to decide if you want to unsend an email).
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
